Paul Lavin, President and COO
Paul Lavin is President and COO of AL Group. He leads the business operations of the company and develops the strategic plan.
Paul has over 35 years in supporting military customers, providing innovative Logistics and Maintenance support service solutions.
Paul joined AL Group from AAI Services Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AAI Corporation, an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. company, where he was President from 2006 to 2009. Based in Hunt Valley, Maryland, AAI Services provides operations, maintenance and logistics, engineering and modifications, training and simulation, and depot support services for government and commercial customers worldwide.
Prior to working for AAI Services, Paul was Director and General Manager of the Defense Logistics Group for Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc., where he was responsible for providing tailored, comprehensive logistics solutions to its customers.
Prior to working in the Defense Logistics Group, Paul was Director of Air Force programs where he led sales, marketing and aftermarket activities for all Honeywell Defense and Space programs with the U.S. Air Force.
Paul earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University.
Paul has been interviewed for several military logistics and repair/overhaul magazines. He has spoken at many logistics and product support symposiums and conventions and provided subject matter expertise to aid in the development of U.S. DoD maintenance policy.
Paul is Professional Project Management certified, green belt certified and holds a private pilot license. He is on the board of directors of the Professional Services Council and a member of the National Defense Industries Association, the Aerospace Industries Association, the Logistics Officers Association, the Army Aviation Association and the Air Force Association.
